Bartolo Ponticorvo was born in 1991 in the famous coastal town of Sorrento, Italy to a modest, working-class family. From a young age, he showed an immense interest and innate talent in visual arts, along with an eye for detail and style. At age 14, Bartolo started his career in the world of hair. Motivated to buy a Vespa (go figure) and inspired by his business-minded acumen, Bartolo’s career began. By 15, he began as a shampoo boy in many of Sorrento's most well-known salons. Not only did he save up enough funds to buy that Vespa, he also realized his true passion in the world of hair. After finishing school and working several years at various top salons in Sorrento, Bartolo moved to America.
With over 15 years of experience, Bartolo has had the opportunity to work and train with top brands and stylists, including Bumble & Bumble, Framesi, and Arrojo Academy. He has worked on various fashion shows and has attended workshops in Milan, Rome, Naples, New York City, and Philadelphia.
In Italy, beauty can be found in everything. Having been immersed in this beauty throughout his childhood, Bartolo draws from it for his creative process. He incorporates his knowledge of European style and fashion into his work. Bartolo strives to always innovate, learn, and provide consistency with his clients. While he always stays up-to-date with the latest fashions and trends, he maintains a classic touch; incorporating old-world values of quality, integrity, kindness, and superior technical abilities. Bartolo cares deeply about his clients' satisfaction while maintaining the overall quality and health of the hair.
